Accessibility Consultation

Shower with multiple supportsHave you considered remodeling to make your home easier to live in to ensure longevity in your home? Do you want to learn about Universal Design techniques that will work for any situation that may arise?

Adaptive Living can help you improve your home with accessibility designed with beauty and style, giving you peace of mind about your future. As a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist, Shana can provide a physical assessment of your home and recommend ways to make it more livable by adapting, modifying and building it for long-term living.

The most common areas of modifications are home entrances, accessibility to other levels and bathroom accessibility. Incorporationg universal design techniques can ensure longevity in one's home. Recommendations can be as simple as making all towel racks functional as beautiful grab bars or more complex as full remodels to allow for all main floor living. Cabinet access and lighting are also key items to consider.

Shana's recommendations can be implemented one at a time or in phases, depending on the needs of the client. In 2008, she founded Home for Life, a division of Heartland Home Improvements, Inc. that offers accessibility solutions to help those who choose to remain in their home. She consults with remodelers of the client's choice and provides hands-on participation as needed. Most importantly, you will gain the necessary information to remain at Home for Life.
